Promotional Paper – made of metal?
Paper has been made of many materials over the years. Wood of course, cotton, recycled material, recently bamboo, etc. At a promotional products trade show earlier this year, I discovered paper made, believe it or not, of stone, and most recently, paper made partially of metal. Yes, metal. This paper is converted into a small envelope, printed just about any way you like, and used as a promotional product that is used to shield today’s RFID credit cards. You know those new cards with the little chip that allows you to simply hold it up to a reader? That’s the one. There are crooks out there with equipment capable of stealing your credit card number through thin air. This shield protects against that. It’s a great way to get your logo or message into your target audience’s wallet, to be seen every time they use the card. Cool as a Cucumber
Believe it or not, that expression is based on a botanical fact. The inside of a cucumber on the vine can be as much as 20 degrees cooler than the outside air on a warm day.
That odd gardening fact is courtesy of the “my garden journal”, a journal that’s customizable for use in promoting your company or organization. Excellent use of employee apparel
Each June, the family heads out to Vallejo, CA to 6 Flags Animal Kingdom for a day of fun. For me, it’s a great day to hang out with grandkids and watch them have a wonderful time.
And for me, this stood out like a sore thumb. It won’t work in every setting, but it sure works in this one, and could be used in many others. Someone was really thinking when they put these shirts together. Check it out:
Each park employee wears one of these shirts. So all over the park, you’re seeing these “signs”, asking you to help keep it clean. It not only helps them keep the park clean using fewer employees, but it helps the patron to appreciate just how clean the park really is, and it makes you want to keep it that way.
And here’s a good illustration of the result. Shuoka the Whale has just performed, the crowd has just left, and look at how little there is to clean up. It took just 2 employees a very short period of time to clean up after the crowd. Wow.
I don’t know who was responsible, the person who sold the shirts, or if it was a park employee, but in my opinion, this was a stroke of genius. A great example of how promotional products can be used to achieve a goal, a result. And it works like a charm.
